What/When is the Emergency Management Team Building Training?
- 40-50 mid-level leaders from counties, cities, the state university system and emergency managers will be identified to participate in an Emergency Management Team Building Cohort that will run from June through the end of August with a 2-day in-person kickoff June 11th and 12th at Florida's Training for Emergency Management (FTEM) in St Augustine, FL.
- An in-person graduation is anticipated during the week of August 26th.
Some key details of the program:
- Highly-collaborative 12-week program consisting of in-person workshops, online modules, coaching sessions, and a capstone project.
- The goal of the program is to enhance the skills and competencies of our high-potential teammates in the “middle” of our organizations that are prime for future growth. The program is designed to prepare participants for future leadership roles within their organizations.
- The program covers topics such as strategic thinking, communication and collaboration, decision making, giving and receiving feedback, mentoring, and project management.
- There will be opportunities to network with leaders from other states.
How much is tuition for the 12 week program?
- Tuition for the 12 week program is $4900 per person.
- Fiscally constrained counties & cities receive a 100% scholarship to attend.
- Non fiscally constrained counties & cities, state universities, non profits, and special districts receive a 50% scholarship to attend.
- All other for profit entities and businesses are responsible for the full cost of the course.
